Crimping Marks Gallery
Crimping marks are one of the most distinctive features 5.25" and 8" floppy disks. This gallery shows a representative example for each crimping mark types found on various disks in the private collection.
As a reminder: crimping marks are the traces left by crimping machines during the manufacturing process when the jacket of disk is crimped around the edge of the disk.
